Eardots

Stoke Omroni

Hey guys!

I guess Jet thought you’d be interested in eardots.  The picture isn’t what they really look like, sorry.

The first thing people usually ask me is, how do they read your thoughts?  The way I understand it, your brain works by sending chemical and electrical signals around between all the neurons.  I tell people the eardot detects the electrical signals kind of like tuning a radio.  One thing it has to do is find out exactly where in the brain the signal is, which it does using something called Single-Point Doppler Location Detection.  You don’t have to remember that. Another difference from radios is that brains use bursts of pulses for signaling.  Sending is about the same as receiving only backwards.

People always want to know about the grippers.  It’s just five little arms that can swing out like crab claws to grab onto the inside of your ear so the eardot doesn’t fall out. When you tell it to Release, they retract.  You can see them in a microscope.  Speaking of which, that’s how we work on them when you bring them into the box shop for maintenance.  Microscopes and micro-manipulators.  There’s AI in the controllers so it’s not that hard.
